Gateway Pediatrics P.L.L.C takes your privacy seriously. There are two aspects to our privacy policy. The first deals with information we have about our patients. The second is information we may glean about visitors to this site. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy in both cases. 

As a medical service provider, we have to collect personal information about our patients. This is necessary in order to provide quality medical service. Much of this information is considered as Protected Health Information (PHI) as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 1996. You have specific rights under the law to control how we can use the PHI we collect. We are very committed to the privacy of your medical information. When you come into our office and sign up your child/ward as a patient, we will make a full disclosure about our privacy practices with reference to PHI and obtain the necessary consent/s.

Many websites track and collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with respect to users of that site. At this time, we do collect some PII as given below, but only if you choose to submit our web-form. We have the ability to obtain some non PII information about our users such as the domains from where the site was accessed, the type of browser, and usage statistics such as the number of times the page has been served or accessed in a given period of time. This information will be used to optimize our site and improve usability. Again, none of this can be considered as PII as we have no means of identifying the user of our site personally using just that information. We do not use cookies or other tracking mechanisms that would allow us to obtain PII without the knowledge of the user. We now allow users to send us comments about our site or request information, therefore you control the information you send to us through the comment form on the feedback page.

We are, at this time, not able to handle medical questions through this site. We will not respond to medical questions submitted through the comment form on our site or in any way be responsible for the consequences thereof.

When you fill up the comment form, you do need to provide some PII, if you want us to contact you back. We will use this information to contact you only if necessary or if requested by you. If you provide feedback,  we might use your feedback to enhance this website, but no royalties, fees, commissions, payments or compensation of any kind is admissible or payable for your feedback. We will not rent, sell, lease your name or information that you provide to us, to any one else. We will not contact you if you do not want to be contacted. If we need to contact you, we will be very specific on the nature of our contact and will limit ourselves to the purpose on hand.
